Students in grade five through eight from Community Day Charter Public School-Prospect (CDCPS-Prospect), led their peers at CDCPS-Gateway and CDCPS-R. Kingman Webster in an initiative to raise money for neighbors in Lawrence affected by the recent gas crisis. Students gathered pledges from friends and family and then participated in a walk-a-thon at Storrow Park, with a goal of raising $5,000. All totaled, CDCPS students raised $6,009 that were donated to the Essex County Community Foundation to support members of our communities suffering due to the recent gas crisis. Way to go CDCPS!!
