Lawrence Mayor’s Scholarship Fund

The Lawrence Mayor’s Scholarship Fund, is supported by Mayor Brian DePena and the City of Lawrence, and helps Lawrence families access quality licensed child care. It bridges the gap for those ineligible for state vouchers or facing long wait times.
- Families can choose from a variety of licensed child care facilities in the city of Lawrence
- A family co-pay is required
Children benefits from:
- Child Care licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care
- Qualified staff who provide a nurturing environment
- Developmentally appropriate activities
- Low parent co-pays
To qualify families have to meet the following criteria:
- Parents/guardians must be working or training in an educational program
- Child must be a Lawrence resident
- Family do not currently have child care subsidy from the Department of Early Education and Care
- Must meet income requirements
