Tuesday, April 4, Governor Maura Healey visited The Community Groups’ childcare program at Community Day Early Learning Center. She toured the facility, met with teachers and students, and participated in a roundtable discussion with staff and stakeholders to discuss challenges facing early education, as well as investments she’s proposing in her budget for child care.
Secretary of Education, Patrick Tutwiler, Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care Commissioner, Amy Kershaw, Senator Pavel Payano, Representative Estela Reyes, Representative Francisco Paulino, and members of Lawrence Mayor Brian DePeña’s office joined Governor Healey during her visit.
TCG was honored to be chosen for this visit as it allowed us to showcase our programs and highlight how essential child care is to families and the community.
