Community Day Charter Public School (CDCPS) is a nationally acclaimed charter public school serving students across multiple campuses in Lawrence. CDCPS–Prospect, CDCPS–Gateway, and CDCPS–R. Kingman Webster each include an early learning program, a lower school, and an upper school.

Our first campus opened in 1995 as one of the flagship Charter Schools in Massachusetts.

All CDCPS Upper School campuses are ranked in the top 10 of ALL Massachusetts Charter Middle Schools and in the top 25% of ALL Massachusetts Middle Schools. 

  • 1,200 of students grade K1-8 across multiple campuses
  • Early Learning Centers: Preschool – Grade 1

  • Average Class Size: 20 students

  • K1-2: Co-Teaching (2 teachers for each classroom)
  • Grades 3-6: Team Teaching (3 teachers for every 2 classrooms)
  • Grades 7-8: Departmentalized Staffing with targeted support from Generalist Teachers
