Family Connections, a partnership with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), provides separated siblings in foster care with biweekly visits to strengthen their bonds in a supportive environment. Serving 40 Lawrence children annually, the program offers 60 hours of sibling bonding through activities like painting, cooking, sports, and seasonal events, along with 3-4 annual field trips.

Led by a bilingual Program Director and a team of six educators, Family Connections communicates with foster parents to address children’s needs. Transportation and gas cards are provided as needed. The program relies entirely on private grant funding.

The Community Group is a proud recipient of a 10-year grant from the Cummings Foundation for our Family Connections Program.
